This privately run reference resource is not connected with a government office. It does not hold official criminal records, perform official searches, retrieve government files, or submit documents for a user.
Readers are directed to the Genesee County Sheriff's Office, the 67th District and 7th Circuit courts, Michigan State Police CJIC, and the Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry. Michigan FOIA, MCL 15.231 et seq., governs qualifying public-body records, while MCL 28.241a controls MSP dissemination of public criminal-history information. Neither statute gives this private site custody of those records. Some pages also display search tools supplied by outside companies.

- Rely on site content for employment, housing, credit, or insurance decisions

Genesee County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. No background check, credit report, or other consumer report is created here. Our advertising partners likewise do not offer tools on this site for applicant screening, rental decisions, insurance pricing, or credit judgments.
